Launch

Test, then go live

Test purchases are free, are checked exactly like real ones, and show under Sandbox in your dashboard. They never count as revenue.

1Test on iPhone

  1. Install your build from TestFlight (or run it from Xcode with a sandbox account signed in).
  2. Buy something. The sheet says it’s a test, and you’re never charged.
  3. In Vend16, switch to Sandbox. The purchase appears within a few seconds, under Transactions and on the customer’s page.

Subscriptions renew fast in sandbox (a month takes about five minutes), so you can watch renewals and expiry arrive too.

2Test on Android

  1. Install from your internal testing link with a licence tester’s Google account.
  2. Buy something. Choose the test card that always approves.
  3. It shows under Sandbox in Vend16. Within seconds we acknowledge it with Google, so it isn’t refunded after three days.

3Check these before launch

Three rules that protect your money
  1. Tell the store a purchase is finished only after Vend16 answers recorded, duplicate or revoked. If the answer is pending, or Vend16 can’t be reached (a 502 or no network), leave it unfinished. The store hands it back on the next launch and you try again.
  2. If Vend16 answers 422 invalid_receipt, finish it and unlock nothing. The store says it isn’t a real purchase.
  3. Unlock from active_product_ids in GET /v1/subscribers/:appUserId, never from a flag on the phone. Check it at launch and after every purchase.

Use a stable user ID from your own sign-in (or a UUID you keep on the device), never an email address.

4Go live

  1. Submit your app version with its in-app purchases attached (App Store) and roll the release out (Google Play).
  2. Real purchases show under Live. The first one ticks “First live sale” on your Overview, and push alerts on your phone if you’ve turned them on in the Vend16 app.
